Before any procedure at Happy Tails Veterinary Care, Dr. Caraballa and the support team take the time to ensure it’s safe for your pet to proceed.


This includes:

  • Pre-anesthetic blood work to evaluate overall health
  • EKG screening as needed to assess heart function
  • Careful planning to tailor anesthesia and monitoring to your pet

Care That Continues After Surgery

Surgery doesn’t end when the procedure is over. Recovery and follow-up are just as important to us.


After surgery, our team will:

  • Monitor your pet and keep them comfortable until they are awake, stable, and ready to go home
  • Keep you updated so you know how your pet is doing
  • Send you home with clear aftercare instructions, as needed medications, and answer any questions you may have
  • Follow up with you the next day to check in

Our goal is to make sure your pet heals well and that you feel supported once you’re back home.
